Zentel Tablet active ingredient, albendazole, is a broad-spectrum anti-worm (anthelmintic) drug. It works by disrupting the worm’s metabolism: it inhibits tubulin polymerisation, which leads to energy depletion in the parasite, eventually killing it. Because of this mechanism, it’s effective against a variety of intestinal and tissue parasites — including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, pinworms, tapeworms, and even protozoa like Giardia.
